With ten beam axles, Goldhofer exceeds 100 tons for the first time
Goldhofer presents the new STZ-H10 semitrailer at the IAA
Premiere for ten axles: The Bavarian-based quality manufacturer Goldhofer presents its new ten-axle STZ-H10 beam-axle semitrailer at the International Motor Show for Commercial Vehicles (IAA) in Hanover (25 September to 2 October). In doing so, the leading German vehicle specialist breaks through the 100-ton payload barrier for the first time with a semitrailer. The newcomer can be seen at the Goldhofer Stand C07 in Hall 25.
“Our new STZ-H10, with a technical axle load of 11.2 tons, is the ideal roadrunner for heavy payloads,” says Stefan Fuchs, Chief Executive of Goldhofer AG. With its payload of 106 tons (in Germany approx. 93 tons due to permissible axle loads), the Goldhofer newcomer has already become a fast seller before the official presentation at the IAA in Hanover. “We have already sold several vehicles in advance,” says Fuchs. The STZ-H10 from Goldhofer is predestined for the transport of the new generation of large cranes, but is also suitable for any type of payload.
The new ten-axle model not only facilitates in the transport of heavy goods and equipment, it also helps with savings in the international transport business. “Because the transit fees in many countries are calculated by axle load, transport companies will, of course, save a great deal of money if they use our ten-axle model in the future," Fuchs reckons.
The STZ-H10 excels with its hydraulic suspension stroke of 400 mm and a high ground clearance, which provides it with significant advantages in terms of cross-country mobility in comparison to a conventional eight-axle semitrailer. The STZ-H10 has two driving heights. It can either be operated with a height setting of +/-200 mm or +300/-100 mm.
The STZ-H10 is very flexible with towing vehicles. The hydraulic differential setting of the gooseneck allows the use of 3- and 4- axle truck tractors with appropriate 5th wheel loads. The first four axles of the STZ-H10 can be raised hydraulically. The brake is equipped with an EBS system. Those looking to save on weight during transport can remove the side extensions from the trailer.
Goldhofer AG has also raised the bar with the STZ-H10 in terms of user-friendliness through its clearly-arranged central control panel, where all adjustments can be carried out quickly.
“I am looking forward to the presentation at the IAA in Hanover. With our STZ-H10 highlight, we are showing once again that we are a frontrunner in the area of innovation,” said Stefan Fuchs.
